Templates make it a lot faster to put together a lease for a new tenant, but some not all of the details are the same in every lease. For example, if you manage a one-bedroom apartment and a two-bedroom apartment, and you need the lease to state how many bedrooms are in the apartment, the leases for those apartments can’t be identical. Would you need to have separate templates?
ManageGo solves this problem by letting you set your own template fields. Here’s how to use them to fill in the details of a lease draft:
How to fill template fields
- Click Leasing in the left-side menu.
- In your list of leases, click on any lease draft. Note that you’ll only be able to do this for drafts, and not for current or pending leases.
- Click View details.
- Click Lease draft.
- Any template fields included in the draft will be listed to the left of the draft. Click on one you’d like to fill.
- Enter the correct information for the field in the text box. For example, if you have a field for Number of Bedrooms, and this lease is for a one-bedroom apartment, you’ll enter “one” for that field.
- Click Update fields.
As you can see, fields make it fast and easy to fill in the appropriate information for any lease. Soon you’ll be creating the perfect leases in no time! Don’t forget, you can also add your own fields for leases and riders so you always have exactly the fields you need.
