How do I edit user access and notifications for buildings?

You may have some users who only work on some of your buildings and don’t need to see the rest of them on ManageGo.   We make it easy to limit each of your users so that they’ll only be able to see the buildings that you want them to see.  Here’s how to get started:

How to edit user access and notifications from the buildings tab

There are a couple of different ways to change who can view which buildings on our site.  The first is from the page of an individual building.  This way is the best if you’d like to quickly change the access settings of many users for just one building.  To edit user access settings from a building’s page:

  1. Click on the Buildings tab in the left-side menu
  2. Click on the building that you’d like to grant or rescind access to
  3. Click the User access and notifications dropdown on the right side of the screen
  4. Use the checkboxes to change the settings.  Use the green boxes to set whether a user has access to view the building online; use the orange boxes to set whether the user receives notifications related to that building.  Note that a user can’t receive notifications for a building that they don’t have access to view.
  5. Click the Save button.

You can also change user access from the Settings page.  This is a better option for situations where you’d like to change one user’s access settings for multiple buildings at once.  To edit user access settings from the Settings page:

  1. Click on the Settings tab in the left-side menu.
  2. Click on the Users tab at the top of the Settings page.
  3. Click on the user whose access you’d like to change.
  4. In the Building access section, choose whether to give the user access to all buildings, or limit them to specific buildings.  If you’d like to limit them, use the Select buildings dropdown to choose which buildings the user should have access to.
  5. In the Notifications section, choose whether the user should receive notifications for all buildings or only specific ones.  If you’d like to limit them, use the select buildings dropdown to choose which buildings the use should receive notifications for.
  6. Click the Save button.
