If two of your buildings each have their own pool, it’s easy to set that up as an amenity in ManageGo ─ just add it as an amenity and check off both buildings, and your tenants will be able to book either of those two pools.
But what if two of your buildings share one pool between them? Thanks to our shared calendars feature, it’s easy to set that up as well.
A shared calendar will make it so that two amenities cannot be booked at the same time by tenants of different buildings. For example, if Building A and Building B share one pool and have a shared calendar, and a tenant in Building A books the pool from 3pm-5pm, other tenants in both buildings will then see that the pool is booked at that time, and they’ll be unable to make their own booking at the same time. This way, you won’t have to worry about conflicting bookings being made by mistake.
Here’s how to get started using shared calendars:
How to set up a shared calendar
To set up a shared calendar for an amenity:
- Click on Concierge in the left-side menu.
- Click on the amenity that you’d like to have a shared calendar. (If you haven’t created the amenity yet, make sure to do that first.)
- Click on the dropdown under Shared calendars.
- Use the Select shared calendar dropdown to choose Create new shared calendar.
- Enter a name for your shared calendar. Note that tenants won’t see this, so you can just name it something that will help you keep track of it.
- Select the buildings in the shared calendar. Choose any buildings that share the same amenity.
- Click the Save button.
How to edit or delete a shared calendar
To edit or delete a shared calendar:
- Click on Concierge in the left-side menu.
- Click on the amenity whose shared calendar you’d like to change.
- Click on the dropdown under Shared calendars.
- Use the Select shared calendar dropdown to choose the shared calendar you’d like to change.
- Choose either Edit this shared calendar or Delete this shared calendar, depending on what you want to do.
- If you choose Edit, you’ll be able to change the name of the shared calendar or change which buildings are included in it. After you’re finished editing, you’ll have to click the Save button to save your changes.
- If you choose Delete, this shared calendar will no longer apply to this amenity.
